Before and After School Care
At Country Kids, we provide flexible before and after school care to accommodate busy family schedules. Our program starts at 6:30 AM and extends into the evening, providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for your school-age child. We transport to and from a variety of schools in Lenexa and Olathe, ensuring that your child arrives safely and on time. We provide care not only during regular school days but also during school closures, including snow days and winter or spring breaks, ensuring your child is always in good hands.
A Typical Afternoon at Country Kids
After school, children release their pent-up energy by spending time outside, enjoying fresh air and exercise. Once they’re refreshed, we provide a nutritious snack and plan the rest of the afternoon. Our program offers a variety of engaging choices, including:
- Arts and Crafts: Spark creativity through hands-on projects.
- Animal Care Center: Encourage empathy by caring for small classroom pets.
- Relaxation Center: A calm space to unwind and relax.
- Tabletop Activities and Block Center: Puzzles, board games, Legos, and building blocks.
- Homework Center: A dedicated place for children to focus on their schoolwork.
- Dress Up and Home Living Center: Imaginative play that encourages social interactions.

Summer Program
An Exciting Summer Adventure
Our Summer Program at Country Kids is designed to make each summer unforgettable. Filled with more planned activities than during the school year, we provide a detailed schedule of engaging experiences to keep your child active, learning, and entertained throughout the summer months.
Summer Fun and Exploration
We pack each week with exciting outings and activities that create lasting memories. Our typical summer schedule includes:
- Swimming: Trips to the pool three times per week to splash, play, and practice swimming skills.
- Library Visits: Weekly trips to the library to foster a love of reading.
- Park Days: Exploring local parks and enjoying outdoor play.
- Field Trips: Weekly field trips to exciting destinations for fun and learning.
In addition to these outings, we offer the same engaging centers that children enjoy during the school year, such as arts and crafts, animal care, and imaginative play. Children participate in planned arts and crafts projects, enjoy outdoor recess twice daily, and experience a structured yet fun routine.
We provide a nutritious lunch along with morning and afternoon snacks to keep children fueled for all the fun. Our summer program includes a short, quiet time each day, giving children a chance to rest and recharge before diving back into activities.
A Summer to Remember
Our goal is to provide a summer that is not only fun and adventurous but also safe and nurturing. At Country Kids, we create a summer experience where your child can explore, learn, and grow while making friends and creating lifelong memories.
